well we have not fallen off the face of the earth, but seems as though this week we have experienced a lot in the way of craziness. our little town had an earthquake tuesday and we are bracing for a terrible hurricane this weekend. oh my…do they say anything about ending summer with a bang?
we have been very busy this summer filling orders mostly from our etsy store. we are in the process of gearing up our inventory for the holidays. if you are considering a bay bag for someone this holiday, please let us know so we can get your order processed. we also LOVE to make bags from your sails. if this is also something you would consider for a gift for say, your crew, this holiday we can do that too!

most of us hunker down during these months, rest and gear up for spring. we have been doing just that. thank you to all for a wonderful holiday season! we did our best internet sales this year! hence the need to have some down time…

so now we’re back to sewing…as i entered the sewing room the other day, it was filled with scraps, threads and sailcloth on the floor. hummmm guess i left, shut the door and didn’t look back after the holiday rush. anyway here are some photos of the coveted machine, its an oldie, but goodie!

seems as though I am feeling a bit rushed these days. black friday, before black friday, christmas decorations on the shelves before halloween? why? my kids are even taking notice, it just doesn’t seem right. as we are over a week away from the true, most wonderful time of year, i say let’s enjoy thanksgiving first. walk by the decorations in the stores and and turn the tv off. watch the sunrise or set and take note of how beautiful the trees are this year, amazing. breathe……… it will be here before we know it.
this is not at all intended to upset any of you pre-holiday shoppers/decorators, just my simple opinion.

hello from the little town of st. michaels! and bay bags headquarters! i say that with tongue and cheek…we are such a small business, but have enjoyed every part of our last two years! and thank you to everyone who has helped us make it this far.
as i write my first entry, i begin to think about how i would like to use this new way of communication. this past september my (young) father passed away suddenly. last spring i was able to help him develop a blog of his own for food. he had a wonderful passion for cooking and wanted to share it. so i was able to help him get his blog off the ground. not sure how many people followed him, but i know he enjoyed adding to it and discovering new things about himself.
with this my first entry, i would like to decicate it to my dad who was always ahead of his game…doing things “normal” people would not get involved with, but intrigued him in every way. i hope he is at peace and cooking like crazy!
